These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the Fishing Notes mobile application (“the App”), operated by Konstantin Merenkov (“we”, “us”). By downloading or using the App, you agree to these Terms.
1. The service
Fishing Notes lets you save fishing spots, log catches with photos and conditions, and view weather for your locations. The App is provided free of charge and is supported by advertising.
2. Your account
You sign in using a Google account or email. You are responsible for keeping your sign-in credentials secure and for the activity that occurs under your account. You must provide accurate information and be legally able to enter into these Terms.
3. Your content
You retain ownership of the spots, catches, photos and notes you create (“Your Content”). You grant us a limited license to store and process Your Content solely to operate the App and sync it to your devices. You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to upload any content you add.
4. Acceptable use
- Do not use the App for any unlawful purpose or in violation of local fishing regulations.
- Do not upload content that is illegal, infringing, or harmful.
- Do not attempt to disrupt, reverse engineer, or abuse the App or its backend services.
5. Advertising
The App displays ads served through Google AdMob. Your use of advertising-supported features is subject to Google’s applicable terms and policies.
6. Weather & location data
Weather information and maps are provided by third parties and may be inaccurate or unavailable. Do not rely on the App for safety-critical or navigational decisions. Always use your own judgment on the water.
7. Disclaimer & limitation of liability
The App is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App, or for any loss of data.
8. Termination
You may stop using the App and request deletion of your account at any time (see our Privacy Policy). We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms.
9. Changes
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
